A & A Storage

We have used A&A as temporary storage during a home renovation and have found them to be responsive and helpful as our needs have changed. The units we've rented are clean and have easy access.

Ive found the staff and management very nice to deal with. The problem is rodents. For the regular units there are not enough standard measures to prevent rodents in spaces. They have black bait boxes outside and each unit is supposed to be sealed. The problem I encountered is that my unit was not sealed- there was a small piece of the rubber seal missing on the edge. the management said they were aware of this when the previous renter moved out, but they did nothing to fix it, or alert me that the unit they were selling me was compromised in this way. I noticed this a month or so after I had rented the space, and asked management to fix it. Three months later they had done nothing, so I insisted it be fixed- in a stronger tone. They did fix it a couple of weeks later, but rats had already gotten into my unit. So now with the corrected seal, I can assume when I see fresh rat poop that the rats are actually locked inside. I informed the management of this, and they said there was really nothing they can do to fix the problem - and it stated that in the contract. I pushed back- upset that there are rats nesting in my unit!! They offered to alert me when a general spray was done of the area. I declined, in that I dont want rat poison sprayed all over my stuff or dead rats in my stuff. I will probably have to set traps and take care of it myself. The management did offer to reduce, finally, my monthly rate by $15, which is a gesture, but it really doesn't repair any damage done by rats living in my stuff. It was insinuated that the problem is mine because i didn't elect to get a climate controlled space. But, if climate control somehow implies that I would get real rodent protection, I'd like to know that upfront. The management feels they have done everything they can, and at this point, the damage is done. However, Im giving a low review because A and A should be more vigilant upfront about preventing rodents in the first place!!!! This is unacceptable.
