I'd recommend them for a local move, but not a long-distance one. The local Atlanta movers were great! The customer service leading-up to the move was excellent! But Maya Van Lines explained that they aren't brokers and are the actual movers; however, they used a 3rd party to transport and deliver my furniture to California. This 3rd party delivery team demanded cash instead of the agreed upon money order. This 3rd party team also charges an additional fee if the truck can't get within 250 feet of your home. I asked the driver to prove that he could not get the truck within 250ft of my home; he refused. So I was charged an additional amount without any verifying evidence. It seems to me that with satellite imaging, this determination could have been made ahead of time (while also providing supporting evidence).
