I have been a patient for many years. While I don't have a problem with Dr. Deloatch I do have a problem with the company that bought out eye associates. I made my regular yearly eye exam and went to it this morning. I live approximately 40-45 min away. My eye exam is always filed under my medical insurance. I have had the same insurance and the same card for many years. Never a problem. This morning they inform my that my card is invalid, Nope...It's not. I called my insurance company while standing at the receptionist desk and even had the rep. talk to the receptionist. The girl at the front desk told me that they were not supposed to call the insurance company. She also told me that corporate wouldn't either. She then told me that I could pay and file myself. Problem with that is I'm going to pay them full amount and my insurance company will only reimburse me the contracted amount. I wound up cancelling my appointment because they were unwilling to find out why their system was saying my insurance was invalid when it was never invalid prior to being sold to another company. I went from their office straight to another doctor who had no problem pulling up my insurance. You have lost 2 patients because of this inability and unwillingness to straighten out a problem on your system.
