I called in a to go order and was immediately put on hold, I think, I'm not sure because I could not understand the girl. When she finally came back to the phone I gave her my order and after I was finished I asked her to read it back to me. Now, I only did this because she seemed very rushed, checked out vand very unfriendly, and on top of that I didn't want my order to be wrong. She read it back so quickly and her words were mumbled together that I had no clue if she read exactly what I ordered. I thought to myself that I would just check it when I got there, I too myself work in customer service, I've worked in a restaurant for 15 years. I get it, she may have been having a bad night, may have had a complicated customer previously, she may have been tired. I was giving her, I don't care, attitude the benefit of the doubt. But then, after I said thank you, she said nothing back.... Just hung up. Now again, I'm a server and bartender. I have never been Intentionally rude to a customer. My attitude towards my customers reflect on how I make my living. If I'm rude, short, not attentive enough, people don't tip. And that sucks. So I really don't understand why anyone intentionally sucks at serving, blows my mind! And I tip very well! I don't care if it's a beer, you'll get 100% tip. That's just how I personally am when I go and spend money somewhere. After the rude ending to that to go order, I immediately did a u-turn and drove towards the next waffle House on 341. I called first and the girl was so sweet, made a little joke, very personable. I didn't even ask her to read back my order, because I felt that she was "present" in our conversation. When I got there, my bill was $8 and some change, I gave her $5.00 tip on top of the price. I will never go to the Waffle House on altama!!!
