Tried to close an account three times at this branch with bad service, mistakes, a lack of policy transparency, & over $2,500 taken from me. First with a teller who made a mistake, then in June with the assistant manager Robert who fixed it & said that it was closed, but did not bother to follow up on the $114 they agreed to reimburse me then. Had to visit last week after noticing that over $2,500 had been taken from my active acct since then. The closed acct was not visible on my banking app or online since working with the teller. I went to the bank and asked for the manager to help. She quickly heard about the situation, left for lunch, & promised to call to sort things out but NEVER DID. I found out after calling the customer support line that the old acct had not been closed for the 3rd time recently. Customer support also supplied me with crucial, policy and account information that they did not share with me at the branch. I have lost all faith in SunTrust due to dealing with the branch employees here. The amount of apathy & failure to follow up as promised is uncalled for. I now have to call around and work to get my $2,500 back due to an error they made and failed to properly correct 3x. Do yourself a favor and go to another branch or bank. This has been my worst, customer service experience ever. 11/18 Update: The branch manager called and asked for PROOF that I actually visited the bank. That's very doable. Uber receipts are great. Finding out that all of the info I shared with the case manager was not shared with the branch manager when reviewing my case for a refund was interesting. I will continue to update this review and explore other channels until this matter is resolved.
