I am probably just a little better then average with small engine repair. The one thing in my favor is that I have an appetite to learn. I had just finished a valve job on my mower and found my compression to be low. The mower originally smoked for about 10 seconds on start up. I called the store for some professional help. This ended up being the help I needed. After listening patiently to all the steps I took to accomplish the valve job he confirmed that, by what I told him, I had done what was necessary and that if my compression was still that low I may have to look at my rings......though I did not want to hear this, I was grateful for the understanding and listening ear. Even tools and processes were talked about, something i haven't had much luck with in the technical field. Needless to say I was a very satisfied customer. Give these folks a try.
