I just experienced the worst act of being denied healthcare ever in my life (first time being denied healthcare). I was extremely sick, unable to walk, let along drive, and dizzy with the chills. The front office told me I had a balance of 50 something dollars. OK no problem, I left my wallet trying to get there on time. Karen the front office staff told me that I couldn't get medical attention unless I pay. OK, being sick I asked please it took me forever to get here, tack on extra charges, I'm willing to pay it as soon as I get home I'll call and give you all my info (mind you I've done this before without problem with the other doctor I saw before she retired and seperated from the group). Her response....No we have to have a payment or we can't see you, but you can go home and get your wallet and we'll put you down for 3 PM. G-d forbid I was on my death bed, but someone who is vomiting, can't walk and sweating....you can't see them over 50 dollars and you want them to drive?!?! So, 3 hours later paid it (by phone), by then I can't walk....I will never go back...poor service, inhumane and does not care about you just your $$$. I only gave it one star because P.A. Pilot , as usual takes very good care of her patients, but the front office staff is lacking in empathy and need a course in being humane and caring for others since that is the very service that you are suppose to be in.
